Museum Werdenfels

Museum Werdenfels in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was established from a private collection in 1895. Werdenfels Museum, one of the most important of its kind in Bavaria, has made its task to preserve: history, art, regional customs, interesting facts and all things typical and characteristic of the country and its people. Remarkable Prehistory and Early History exhibits are on display in the basement.
All through the ages, numerous artists have settled in the region and been inspired by their experiences. Allow yourself to be drawn into their works and be enchanted by these gems, large and small, spanning 1,000 years of the Alpine region over five floors with 900 m2 of exhibition space. An absolute must during any stay.

Tuesday to Sunday	10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Monday	closed
